'Wenchuan'
15.00 1.00 0 U 'Wenchuan' is an arching form of F. robusta with a slightly more open growth habit than other variations of this useful species. The culm and branch sheaths are a beautiful reddish brown instead of white to tan. It seems to be slightly more vigorous than F. robusta 'Campbell'. Large leaves give this bamboo a more tropical appearance. It is very similar to 'Wolong', but the dark green leaves are a little more pointed and don't seem to curl downward around the edges (as 'Wolong' tends to do). Fargesia
yuanjiangensis
16.00 0.75 20 U From Khun Dieter at bambooweb.info I have lots of seedlings of this species; they grow well and rapidly (as compared to some other seedlings of Fargesia). The species is recorded to grow up to 5 m tall by a culm diameter of 2 cm. Photos of seeds and seedlings, and the Chinese name (in Pinyin) can be found in the Bamboo Seeds Catalog of the Chiang Mai Bamboo Nursery. The species is naturally distributed in southern Yunnan at 1,600 m altitude, hence one should not expect it to be very hardy.   Sources
