No, I have them in two locations, I think I may have them from 2 sources, maybe not. One, I once again assumed was top killed and mowed down, the other looked the same but I had not gotten to whacking it back yet, then it leafed back out to the tips - I keep forgetting this one has really solid leaf buds and can take some serious cold. The mowed stubble is leafing out and does not seem to be flowering and the un-whacked one is not showing any signs. Is your ID solid on yours?

I will be watching the Pleiioblastus that you sent me so far it is putting up so shoots but not any flowers yet.

Definitely, the variegation is rather distinctive with large center stripe.

Phyllostachys nigra put up its first shoot of the season.

Phy auerosulcata auureocaulis, bissetii and humilis sending out some shoots. Slightly disappointing, size-wise.
Far. denudata put out shoots a week and a half ago but seems to have pressed the pause button.

Ph. Bambusoides Madake sent up a couple of shoots about a week ago judging by the height. This was a 1 gal sized plant last spring that filled up a 5 gal pot last summer and got planted a couple of months ago. The new shoots are about 30" tall and still growing and about 1" in diameter. I originally thought it put up dinky shoots about a month ago but those were branches coming up from beneath the compost. This one gets my vote on quickest to upsize, the culms last spring were about 3/8" diameter.

I'm starting to get a few shoots on my aerosulcata which was a bare rhizome transplant last year. It looks like its going to make many small shoots this year before sizing up.

My 2 new moso shoots seem to have aborted, but I don't think they were even shoots to start with. They probably came on late last fall and I probably didn't notice them until this spring. Most of my bamboos including my moso are now starting to shead their dead leaves and elongating their buds so the true shooting season should be yet to come maybe 1-2weeks later.

I'm just praying for some upsizing this year.

My P atrovaginata seems to have a fairly thick shoot that doesn't seem to be gaining any height. I guess the ground temperature here is still too cool to launch them off. Parvifolia is doing the same thing. I hope those shoots will start gaining size soon.

In my mind, the last (3) Pictures are MOSO......please correct me if I'm wrong.......Where I dug these up, there was MOSO with HENON mixed in......but where I dug these particular culms/rhizomes, it was concentrated with 6" MOSO so I assumed it was MOSO.....The POTs are MOSO for sure.....the other's could possibly be Henon.
Again, please correct me if I'm wrong.....I'm not an expert in the least.....

I believe that those are Henon, you can compare those shoots to the Nigra and they should look very similar. The pots I can't say, but the in-ground looks like Henon.
