How do I add a photo to a post?

Post by johnfe »

I have a few photos of shoots I can't ID, but am not technical enough to figure out the [img] thing.... can someone help? I have the photos on flickr as well as my desktop, but don't know if that would work.

Thanks!

Easiest way would be to just add the direct link to the web photo posted.

For example:

You can, but since you already had the images uploaded on another server, CJ_IS_HERE was just giving you the short and easy version.

Thanks Roy... What I was suggesting was that you place the link here to where the photo was already uploaded to. If it is on photobucket then it would look like this...

for exanmple... this is one of my Buddhas :-)

Wow! Great BuddhaBelly! And thanks for the help with the posting - I think I can do it. The only reason I suggested posting to the Bweb is that flickr is a little weird...

Since you used the ventricosa as an example, let me ask about that... I have a couple a bonsai lady gave me, but in trying to keep it going, I've gotten conflicting info. So far, all the shoots I've gotten have reverted back to straight smooth culms, no bellies. Is it lack of water/nutrition that forces the belly-ing, or lack of space and crowding of the rhizomes?

Thanks for your generous advice!

From my experience it is a mix of all the above. Stress seems to be the main contributor. I have several small very confined plants that belly often... 90-95% are bellied. If the planter they are in is larger, the plant really isnt strained and can spread as it wants so might consider a smaller container if they are in one thats more than a few inches larger than the rootball.

Aha! That's it - I've got them in fairly large containers... so the water thing is not enough by itself to induce the buddha-ing... Thanks!
