There are no stripes of any kinds, there are no congested or deformed nodes too. The culm texture is rather smooth not rough at all.
I found a picture of a shoot, not the best quality but at least we don't have to wait until next April.
I want to add that when I bought this specimen I could see an adult culm, it was huge that's why I'm quite sure it couldn't be Ph. aurea or other medium phyllostachys, even if I can't really swear that culm was from the same plant.
