The bear is cute. Better to have that bear than a panda since he eats less bamboo.

Your Moso looks great. Is that a half whiskey barrel. It looks like a plastic version maybe. Is it the same size as 1/2 barrel? My moso seedlings are outside and may be as wide as yours but not as tall.

The photos are definitely large for web viewing but good size for printing. The XP Power Tools image resizer is very handy for creating shrunken copies of your photos. It's free & downloadable from: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/down ... rtoys.mspx. Install it and then whenever you right-click on a photo on your computer it will give an option to make a smaller copy in your folder.

No problemo. Now people can print out high quality 11x17 posters if they want to. ;) I'm sure Bill can adjust them if necessary. For someone who just started digital photography 1 week ago, I'd say you're doing pretty well. :D It's great to finally see some pictures from your garden!

new pics

Post by needmore »

I'd like to see your new photos but with my dial-up connection I'll wait until Bill resizes them

We noticed an orange paint mark up near the phone line easement so perhaps in a few months DSL will finally be out here in the hills. Oh well, a guy can dream about fast internet connections....

resize

Post by needmore »

I'd say go ahead and resize/repost them and let Bill delete the old ones next week. The ABS auction is in a couple of hours so I'm sure that he is distracted today!

parvifolia

Post by needmore »

Was there really a Parvifolia at the auction and if so, what did it go for? I was under the impression that it was a mistake on the list and not really available.

Bamboo...Please note... This plant is seriously addictive and you may lose interest in other, less rewarding plants!
