P.vivax 'Huanwenzhu Inversa'

On another note my P.praecox 'Viridisulcata' is trying to flower again, it does this every year and although it never really goes all the way the energy it uses seems to cause problems with the new culms. The strange thing is it only flowers on the previous years branchlets and this years branchlets are fine, until next year probably :?

P. Bissettii - 27-April-09

Lots of little ones. Kind of bummed, I thought since this is year three, it would start to size up. The two year old spectabilis is much bigger.

P. edulis "Anderson Clone" :D
Southern Indiana.
My Bamboo List.

The legal issues that will arise when the undead walk the earth are legion, and addressing them all is well beyond what could reasonably be accomplished in this brief Essay. Indeed, a complete treatment of the tax issues alone would require several volumes.

Semi. fastuosa 'Viridis'
Semi. okuboi

My only in-ground plant that hasn't pushed a shoot yet is my Phy. glauca 'Yunzhu'. Its first year in the ground -- hope it doesn't skip shooting.

Phyllostachys nigra just starting, 5-1-09. Its been given soft thick loam all around, but the tiny stretch of asphalt its beside is bulging and cracking ominously.

Heres my new moso shoot coming up at a 40 degree angle, cant tell by the picture, but does anyone know if it's a real shoot, or just a rhizome deciding to go up?

I have new shoots after the first round froze out.

Bashania qingchengshanensis
One larger shoot and a lot of small survival shoots.

Phyllostachys aureosulcata 'Spectabilis'
Shoots about the same size as last year.

Phyllostachys aureosulcata 'Aureosulcata'
Shoots larger than last year and the plant is spreading nicely in the bed.

Phyllostachys aureosulcata
Shoots much larger than last year :wav:
