its official! ABS spring online auction, May 17th-30th!

Spring is almost here, and we are once again gearing up for the ABS Spring on-line auction. The auction is scheduled to start on May 17th and run through May 30th and will be at
www.absauction.bambooweb.info
Do you have any plants or other items that are bamboo related that you would like to donate for this event? All auction proceeds support the ABS in its mission, and donations are tax deductable.

If you are donating an item for the auction, it would be helpful to include the

following information:



1.. Photos of the actual plant or one of approximate size (Marked 'Actual' or

'Approximate') A ruler next to the plant will help the buyer judge the size.



2.. Photos or links to photos of the full-grown plant. These can be from the

donor or bambooweb.info.

Photos can be any size and we will resize to fit on the auction site.



3.. Information on the plant that may not be in circulation. If there is information on the species list it

will also be included.



4.. Shipping information and any restrictions on where and when you can ship.



5.. Price to ship to the lower 48 states. If no price is given the shipping

cost is assumed to be the actual cost of shipping.



6.. Value of the plant. The starting bid will be half of this value.



7.. Contact information for questions.

To help the integrity of the auction an effort will be made to verify the

identity of the plant from the photo or other information from the donor.

The information and photos should be submitted now through May 14th to

allow time to process the information and posting them to the auction site.

Please try and donate early so there is not a big rush at the deadline. Please

send the information to absauction@bambooweb.info

I was too busy for the last one, but there is NO WAY im letting this one slip by me without placing a few bids!

...now the hard part. Saving money and not buying plants now in order to have some money for the auction

not in oregon yet... still in thrall to the postal service... but hey, I apprecite the fact that they are on the way!!!! (is there an emoticon for s_it eating grin?)

Im excited about the auction, and getting to be the one begging for donations now I can hit up some of the folks I know and see if they will donate some of the COOL stuff, and the great thing about this auction? NO ONE TO OUTBID YOU AT A LIVE AUCTION!!!!! YEAH!!!!
