BooNut's bamboo goal

Post by Roy »

BooNut in south Texas is in the quest to grow the biggest bamboo in the USA. I think I found an image showing what BooNut is after:

Maybe this will give you a little better idea of the bamboo size and relationship to man in the picture:

It would be fun to build a tree house up in that stuff. The trick would be transferring support duty from older culms to newer culms for long term success.

My first impression was "Wow! What a tiny guy!"

A split second later, it changed to "Holy cow! What humongous bamboos!"

Then, thoughts turned to digital doctoring.

Ultimately, I remain awestruck by accepting the fact that those are indeed the biggest bamboos I have ever seen (pictures of).

If you extend a line straight upwards from the seam on the shoulder of his jacket and you extend a line straight to the right from the bottom of his earlobe, the intersection lies at the tip of a nose. But who is this cloaked figure? Inquiring minds want to know.

That's my Uncle Morie ..... He went for a walk 11 years ago... Now we know what happened to him. His SS checks are still coming. We'll send them to boonut and he can pass them along.

I am going to hook up a 12" irrigation pipe to my giganteus with drip ammonium sulphate and "Superthrive". Then I am going to feed it ground up runners for dessert.

Aren't you from Texas? Just put full metal jackets in one of your guns!
