Hi again.
In the last thread I saw that Guadua velutina is flowering, and I think I remember someone in another thread mentioning that another type of bamboo was flowering.
Besides Guadua velutina, what else is flowering?

Re: What's flowering?
I've had my Pleioblastus shibuyanus 'Tsuboi' flowering for the past three years. It appears to still be alive despite the flowering.
It is surrounded by a lot of seedlings and I suspect there are some variegated ones in the mix.

Fargesa nitida Anceps started last fall. The only nitida I will have left now is McLure. Actually, is Jiuzhaigou a nitida? My referaces on this are mixed.

I've heard rumors that Japonica is flowering? Can anyone confirm or deny?

My japonica is not flowering at this time, both an unamed(sp?) and pleioblastiodes.

None of my japonica is flowering, however I have seen japonica in flower.

Re: What's flowering?
I have three or four divisions of Ps. japonica taken from the same parent plant. At least two of these are flowering now. Possibly stress-induced (drought-related)? It's pretty late in the year to be pushing flowers...

Re: What's flowering?
Pseudosasa japonica flowered here sometime in the late 80's so hopefully not again. Never produced a single seed and took 2-3 years to start growing again after dying to the ground.
