Hey Mantis. Did you search "Invading bamboo" or similar. I remember a thread that showed a culm growing through asphalt.

I remember that thread, but there is another one where it totally took over a house. I believe one of the forum members went to try and help the homeowner out. It was ugly.

There was the one where rhizomes were growing all over and filled a crawl space. Of course at one time I had left a light on in the basement and bind weed had penetrated the basement wall. I was rather surprised to discover all the vines covering the wall.
