Flowers are full bloom in southwest Florida. Any other places experiencing this?
Also, the honey bees were really into the inflorescence. Which is strange considering it should be wind pollinated.

yes, I am currently in FL for a year. The bees stuck around. They were getting something from the flowers. I hope to collect the seeds when they ripen. I am used to temperate lepto's. All these clumping bamboos make living here much more exciting. The campus here has over 40 species of clumping. The lone runner is P. vivax and looks horrible. No wonder people in the south hate runners.
