Fargesia robust 'Wenchuan'

I got this one from boo-shoot gardens last friday. Reports from Jackie are that Wenchuan is much hardier than the species. They had more than one day at 4 degress F., and much more freezing weather than a normal winter. Foliage on Wenchuan wasn't damaged, but the straight robusta was hammered pretty hard. Foliage on this plant is awesome - huge, very green and leathery leaves, rather blue on the undersides. Leaf sheaths are orange-ish. I am wondering if it is a robusta at all. Link to pics below

I could use one of those hardier robustas.

I have heard the same on it... its definitely on my to-get list. the larger plant I saw of it, about 8' tall or so was very nice looking, even in February.

Alan, I don't know about anywhere else, but in Western WA, full sun OK for this robusta variety

Nate, don't know who has it or how much for it. Jackie doesn't have it on her price list yet, and it doesn't look like Ned has it for sale either.
