it came with our house. My parents call it a 'Blazing Star', but I can't seem to find anything that looks like it with that name.
I'm trying to propagate it from seed, but so far it hasn't germinated. If I only knew what it was, I could search for propagation methods....
what is this plant?

Being hibiscus in build, cuttings put in water or wet soil should give you new plants. Try it.

RE: what is this plant?
thank you, guys
My parents had one of these that enjoyed full sun and regular watering from the air-conditioning condensation line. It towered 7 or 8 feet tall every summer.
It seems propagation from seed works well. I'll have plenty of seeds in a few weeks if you'd like some.
