you all inspire me!! tried my first ground layering of my chungii today (ala roy's pics) made my first bamboo raids yesterday. two clumps from areas that 25+ years ago were residential but had to make room for business and highways. these were old established clumps but..., one appears to be b vulga...

my chungii shoots emerge from the soil almost horizontally. by the time they are three feet tall they have become vertical. is this normal? my bv"wamin" is putting up 3" culms max height 8' my brandisii first shoot 1/4" popped up last week, about 10" tall today. wong chuk 1 ...

my ph is between 6 & 7 and peppers do well. at my dad's it is closer to 8
and it stunts their growth! {thai giants only get 1/2" long}

I like the jamaican hot chocolate. I am growing bhuts,yellow bedders,bulgarian carrots,and half a dozen varieties of chiles.
But Datil peppers are a long time favorite. Good combo of heat and flavor!
