What to do with bent Bamboo?
Yesterday I noticed that my best looking Ph. Henon shoot was bent and damaged at the top as we have had some heavy winds. The stalk is creased and bent like an elbow. This shoot is about 7' tall and the branches are just about to fan out. Should I top it off where it is bent, or let nature take its ...

Re: Zone 8 Moso smackdown
Eric,
Still only have the two new Moso shoots for me. They look pretty healthy but like you mentioned above, no real up size in diameter to height. Next year we will see Moso explode in our area... I hope.

Re: Zone 8 Moso smackdown
Eric,
You and I are about 20 miles apart. My Moso did suffer some leaf loss but nothing too alarming. What intrigues me is that I only have two new shoots this year where last year I had about 7. Is your Moso shooting normally?

Re: Low Light Office Bamboo?
Please don't band me from the forum for saying it but..... There is always Dracaena (lucky bamboo). It wont get 6' high or 1" in diameter but it can handle the indoor climate and does great with just the office lights. I have a windowless office and a file cabinet with several shapes and sizes....

Re: Like my Moso Clumper :-)
CJ, I am anxious to see your distance photos as well. I am in Wilmington NC and planted a 3 gallon Moso this year. The new shoots that it did produce looked very similar to your photos (very fine hairs). I notice in your pics that you have pine straw for ground cover. How is this working for you? Is...

RE: Rhizomes pushed through the bottom of the container.
Thanks for the info.
I was able to transplant this last weekend following Bill and Roy's advice. So far so good. I took photos but I do not plan to post them until next spring with comparison photo's of new growth.
I appreciate everyone's interests and advise.

Rhizomes pushed through the bottom of the container.
Hello Friends, Long time reader first time poster. I just received a 3 gal. container of Henon. It looks great and I have a healthy rootball in the container which I am anxcious to get into the ground. There are two rhizomes and shoots which sprung out the bottom of the container. Should I carefully...
