I too like to share and actually give them away if I really like the individual. The bulk of the people who come to this web site are the rarest of bamboo consumers. The average person who buys bamboo at Lowe's does not care if a plant is rare common or what ever. The only people who REALLY care abo...

I have found that Superthrive on top of good soil promotes intense root growth and can bring back plants (not just bamboo that look almost dead). You may want to give it a try or at least check it out.

I have 45 varieties. Some very rare, some rare. some common but available and a few commons. The rarest being phyllostachys edulis 'Bicolor' at this time with a couple others coming soon. I like the fact that I have a bamboo not everyone has. Not referring to parvifolia (spelling is most likely wrong). Yes tissue culture can make a plant that is rare to the masses available to the masses but then it takes the fun out of searching and saving to come up with a gem. Just my two cents.

I guess they should have installed a barrier and planted further from the fence line so they could also rhizome prune. To bad though this is another one that gives bamboo a bad rap.
