CJ, I am anxious to see your distance photos as well. I am in Wilmington NC and planted a 3 gallon Moso this year. The new shoots that it did produce looked very similar to your photos (very fine hairs). I notice in your pics that you have pine straw for ground cover. How is this working for you? I...

Hi, 16 foot might be stretching it some... I'd guess more like 11-12 at most. The only culm thinning I may have done is 2-3 that bent and broke low so I clipped it off. Several other folks had commented that certain areas/climates can and do effect te growth habit of the Moso...so thats why I starte...
