Re: wholly sheath
another flavor;
summer mornings Jiuzhaigou 1
slowly fading spring sheaths blend with deep dark summer sheaths
beneath a gentle canopy

Re: wholly sheath
second hottest day of the year yesterday 84˚
originally went out to shoot some of the late season shoots but the dry harsh dappled light captivated me

Re: wholly sheath
after a night full of rain, grungy sheaths take precedence
in the continuing cacophony of color
though with subdued light, a tranquil ambience prevails

Re: wholly sheath
Following up on my resolution to clean up my photo library I came upon a pic from fall that had a similar perspective as a summer shot earlier in thread highlighting seasonal color transitions…
a look back at the spring of crassinodus and the fall of ‘Jiuzhaigou 1’ as this thread has run its course…

Re: wholly sheath
wild orange sheaths of ‘Pingwu’ I think
2015 it’s first year in the ground the orange was overwhelming as there was no competition
though 2016 was intense up close mixing with yellow/green leaves and chocolate/purple culms spring 2017 shows Feb. shoots with the orange spreading up the culms

I bet it's hard to pull yourself away from staring at those great plants!

See not what I shoot when I shoot
Luckily, walking away from a computer is easy
