Post by smanker »

Bamboo where have you been all of my life...

I am in zone 10/11 Jupiter Florida.
Some advice please..

Buddha Belly (dwarf...)
ASPER Black
Asper... other

Vulgaris wamin (sp)

I'm a novice.. But want to learn... Please folks pass forward.. I will reciprocate...

Lots of space.. 10 acres.. sandy soil

What would be best... I also like the Hawaiian Golden (?)

i would like some screening... and also really like the very large diameters... We have Hurricanes....

Suggestions thoughts... Best place to start with cuttings and seedlings? Best source for them?

Thanks in advance

smanker,
Welcome to bambooweb. You need to hook up with the tropical guys. Roy comes to mind as a excellent source of info. He's listed on the first page of the member list.

Smanker,

Look through bamboos (mostly the Bambusa's and Dendrocalamus') at this link for the variety of tropical bamboos your heart desires:
