Seeking warmer winter home

Post by needmore »

About 3-4 years ago I noticed an intruder in a shipment of Phy aureosulcata 'Aureocaulis' and it has proven to be Phy aurea 'Holochrysa'. I've been babying it on my deck and in the qhouse for winters and now have a real beauty. But alas, it is quite thirsty and soon grows to big for me to easily care for and would make one nice grove starter in 6b or warmer, I'd let it go for a very decent price if anybody warmer wants to come get it - would consider trade.

What would you need to have for that beauty?

I'd ask $80 but if you were picking up other plants I'd make a good deal on this, or would be willing to consider trading for something interesting, plant or otherwise. Are you close enough to drive over and pick it up? It has filled up a 25 gallon pot and is 8-10 feet tall, too large to ship.

It appears that Tony O is in Oklahoma which would make it a looong drive, but I can feel the irresistible pull of a beautiful bargain bamboo working on him from here.
