How fresh are your seeds? I have a number of different bamboos. Sasa palmata, phyllostachys, and plieoblastus.
Lets talk?

I don't know exactly. I traded for the seeds late fall last year, I had them in the frig since. The seeds I started had a good return.

Thanks for the seeds.
So far 17 of my seeds have sprouted and it looks like the ones soaked overnight have twice the germination rate over the ones planted without soaking.

Well, Thanks to rfgpitt via gdr41, I might have more heteroclada plants running around on my place than all my other species combined :!:

There's no reason to be scared
When you see the boo all around you like a corn maze, that's when you start to worry.

Before cutting poles, obtain permission from the landowner. Then stick a compass in your pocket. Traveling in a canebrake is like walking through a forest of side-by-side fishing poles; and since everything looks the same in all directions, a tract of cane is a likely place in which to get lost.

I think that would be cool to have a grove where one could momentarily get lost in it :!:
