I was thinking the same thing. Multifunctional. Only it could have been made out of bamboo, including the paper. :toothy10:

I buried 5000 Xmas lights yesterday under the leaves and mulch around my bamboo to help out during the sub zero temps + I added another foot of leaves to the pile..
I brought my P. Spectabilis inside the other day as it was showing some minor leaf roll.
It has recoverd nicely.Image

How much snow are you supposed to get Brad?

Tony, still snowing here so hard to say, we have about 3 inches now. You probably better not take that Spectabilis back out now that you brought it in. Too much wild temp swing can be harmful.

Hey Brad,
NOPE!!!! The Spectabilis is inside untill March-April now...
I flipped the switch on the fan so it won't move.....
The Spectabilis is my pride and joy right now and I can not even think of loosing it to the cold.
What was the name of the Bamboo you said I wanted but did not know it??
Going over today to burry the Hennon in snow and throw a few old car covers over the boo for protection from tomorrows bitter cold...

Interesting how a post about a japanese girl and toilet paper can turn into bamboo and crappy weather.

Her nose is running because her bamboo was killed back by cold temps and she has been crying so this thread is tightly woven from post to post.

Tony, I think you were coveting the Pl. distichus 'mini'.
