No quit in this guy

A few weeks ago I cut down and then somewhat sawzalled & hacked hunks of culm stumps/roots out of the ground on my bamboo I believe to be Bambusa ventricosa. Then I took the hunks I hacked out and tossed them into low spots and also used them as the base of a mound in a couple spots. Now I'm seeing new culms popping up where I was unable to get the stumps out and everywhere that I put the hunks. Might as well pot up a couple and see what happens, I really don't want the species in ground but maybe future trades...these guys are all showing bellies already so they might be B vulgaris 'Wamin' but I doubt it

I once cut a Bambusa tuldoides plant out of the ground, with the intent of getting rid of it. I threw the rhizome chunks on open ground, so they would desiccate. But I happened to get a rainy period right after that, and the pieces produced shoots, then formed rhizomes that started digging into the ground :o . One of the reasons I love bamboos...they really want to live!

Pretty much the same story here, those in direct sun but frequent rain are shooting, that is where the photo one came from. Funny, I did not want this bamboo and now I have it in 5 different places.
