Spring ABS auction?
Any plan for a spring ABS auction? Will prep some plants if it's a go. Rgds

Re: Spring ABS auction?
There will not be a Spring auction this year. Last year it did not take in much and even with Gene's help and all of the donors time, I decided that it would be best to put the effort into the fall auction and try to get more plant at that time.
Thanks for all of the work that you have put into the auctions hopefully we can get some good plants in the Fall. The Fall auction will be in October but the weeks have not been decided yet.

Re: Spring ABS auction?
How about a simple approach for a Spring fund raiser. Individuals post auction plants in exchange forum, handle all action items, and send proceeds to ABS.
Example: Subject - ABS auction plant; Ph.a. Koi
See attached photo - 5 gal, 5ft, Koi.
Best offer by end of 4 weeks. Buyer pays shipping cost from California.
All proceeds benefit ABS. PM for more details. Rgds
Perhaps the site members could help decide how the money would be used. Not limited to rare plants plus plants stay within site community.

Re: Spring ABS auction?
sounds like a good idea, but could open a can of worms if someone takes the cash sent to them and runs. or were you thinking of the payments being made to the ABS like with the regular auction?
I like the idea of it being community based! more chance for the plants we want!

Donor gets & sends the money. Small chance of post, ship, and run in my estimation. If it happens, throw the bum out. If ABS wants to control thru paypal it's their call. Rgds

Just posted available bamboo in exchange section. Willing to 1) give any sales to ABS or 2) auction them and give money to ABS. Let me know your thoughts. Rgds
