thanks John, for puting them up. I for one love to look at how places have thier boo arranged, although this is not all that impressive so far.... interestingly enough, I have seen private gardens of collectors that are much nicer than the public collections up here, but is is always good to see how others do it no matter the sense of aesthetics.

On our daily excursions from the hotel we passed this topiary outside a government building on 7th St. I looks to be Pleioblastus pygmaeus.

While wandering in Chinatown we passed this beautiful ivory carving. Here is a closeup of a section:

And while they had no bamboo or bamboo accessories, we passed some protestors who were kind enough to pose for us:
