Bill,
What happened to the Ph. flexuosa 'Spring Beauty'? I was all excited about that one.

I don't know why but Ned ended up donating a Phyllostachys bambusoides 'Richard Haubrich' instead of the flexosa.

A couple of other plants from other donors were changed right before the auction started. I guess that just makes things more interesting.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Isn't Sinobambusa tootsik 'Albostriata' a runner? The auction catalog shows it as a clumper.

Enquiring minds want to know.....

Bill, I pushed a picture of the Nuda Localis into the photodatabase if you can load it into the auction.

I have a small Pleioblastus nagashima that I can donate - anyone interested? Mine is about 4-5 feet tall, nice color and forms an interesting shrub. The potted one is maybe a foot tall but I see rhizome at the drainage hole so it should take off.

OK, I did not catch that when I was copy and pasting the information for the auctions. I did correct that one and a couple of others where I made the same mistake.

Brad I will get Localis photo up when i get back to my office. I'll bid on the Nagashima if you would like to donate it.

Sinobambusa tootsik 'Albostriata' is a modified runner. It does send out "runner" type rhizomes, but then it forms clumps here and there by tillering (I believe that is the term). And yes, I would put it in the "runner" class.

Ok, I know this is to help the ABS, so I threw bids on another couple plants (please don't tell my wife). :)

Just got 7 more plant donations that I will get up today.

I'll make sure I get the ones that I want to bid on last so no one will see them.

What's up with all the auctions ending @ 1:00am (Est) Sunday? (and then about an hour later it's still 1:00am for us eastern folks)

We have to adjust our schedules so you people in the mountains and out west can watch sporting events (even though both teams in the WS were eastern  )

Sorry but I an still waiting on information and photos from Ian. He is taking them to SF in his luggage so they are probably 1 or 2 gallon pots that are ready to be up-potted.

Hey I am lazy and I wanted to end the auction on Saturday so I can try and get the information put together and printed out for the conference. I just picked midnight because it was convenient.

I have the photos up for the Sasamorpha borealis, Borinda nujiangensis, and Yushania brevipaniculata 'Wolong'. I should have photos for the last plants that I added by tomorrow.
There is also a Jiuzhaigou 10 which has yellow canes and is a good contrast next to the red cane Jiuzhaigou.
