No idea, but I'm planning on making the trip down (160 miles each way), so I'll try to get more info.

I just love the Textilis form/type bamboos. Erect and the best part is no branch buds on the lower portion which leaves the beautiful culms bare for 15 feet and up. If Bambusa tuldoides would not have the lower branch buds, then with it's thick walls, I would like it more than I do, even though it is not as cold hardy as the true textilis types.

Speaking of "farmers markets", needmore and foxd- there is someone in bloomington selling divisions....im not sure who it is. But people always tell me that he's there...selling boo to unsuspecting...uh, suspects. :D

Im reading more and more articles on how people are going "nuts" about bamboo. I dont know if we've gone to rodent level here, but still people I talk to say they dont like it becuase all it does is grow in water  ....if you get my drift...

sigh..someday

I'll be heading down on the 4th. I can't make the 3rd, since it is a Friday, and I have to work. :x

Eastlandia, I had a conversation with the guy last Saturday. He is selling divisions of Yellow Groove. He seems to like the plant and talked about how great it was for hiding the renovation work he is doing on a house. :?

The legal issues that will arise when the undead walk the earth are legion, and addressing them all is well beyond what could reasonably be accomplished in this brief Essay. Indeed, a complete treatment of the tax issues alone would require several volumes.

Hey now, I've heard of individuals who quit their day job for their addictions. I guess you're not as hardcore about bamboo as you made us believe......

Mantis,

This is the weekend you are going to Bayside, TX to check out the Textilis Corpus Christi. Be sure and check out the auricles if the plant(s) have any new shoots. Hopefully it's not a 3 T's plant. I first was noticed of this sale through the TBS website and I replied back requesting information on the Textilis Corpus Christi, but I got no reply.

I'll bring my camera, and make sure to check the exposure levels.

When are you planning on going Mantis... I may meet you up there. I think it is just about 2 1/2 hours north of me.

So it is exactly mid-way between us.

I'm going to try and be there around 11 on Saturday. It'll just be me and Sid. We'll probably stick around for a couple hours and then hit the road by 2pm, so Sid can take a nap on the way home.

Give me a call on Saturday if you make it up there. 8)
