Brown spots on Chinese Goddess

I just purchased 9 Chinese Goddesses and they all arrived with brown spots and look pretty dried out. I thought this was an evergreen bamboo. Are the brown spots a fungus or mold? How do I treat this? Or is this what the plants look like in winter? In other words, is this their winter evergreen look?
Thanks for your help!

Generally, they should look healthy and green all year. Potted plants often get stressed when they get a little dry.

My usual recommendation in these situations is to keep them well watered and give them some fertilizer. As the weather warms, they should respond and recover quickly.

If you post some photographs, I might be able to give you more specific answers.

Thank you so much for your response, Glen! I just updated the post (I had written Golden Goddesses when in fact, these are Chinese Goddesses!) and also added some photos. I really appreciate your insight!
