How cool. I want one. But none of my culms is bigger than 1/4" diameter, so the bat would have a real squeeze to make a home inside.

Interesting how a live culm can get split by beetles.

This is the lesser bamboo bat.

I would not be surprised if those bats actually make a meal out of the beetles that do the damage to the bamboo.
That's the way Momma Nature works things.
