Hello

Post by Tony Shep »

Hi

I’ve been registered in this group for a while and not posted anything until now
I’m in Manchester U.K., been growing bamboo for over 30 years now on garden number three
We have a big garden and grow lots of bamboo, a well chosen selection based on many years of growing and looking at plants around the U.K. and Europe
I’ve got several well established Borinda and fargesia and we have recently moved and replanted several Phyllostachys!
The garden is still a work in progress with lots more planting opportunities ahead as we haven’t started in the front of the house where I want to try a few of the lesser known temperate timber bamboos
Visitors are always welcome if you are local to me

I need a plant ID, but wanted to introduce myself first!

Thanks
Tony

Tony, nice to hear from you! Although growing bamboo in the UK looks challenging, you can grow a wide range of species and forms so I look forward to any pictures you may post.

Too bad that the forum at this point is all but dead, once upon a time it was quite vibrant but now hardly anyone remains so don't take it personally if you don't see much response!
