Manfreda variegata

Post by Samajax »

Thought you'all would like to see my favorite spring flower- Manfreda variegata. The flower spikes are around 5' tall, with these huge blooms on top.

I've got a couple patches of these.

The plant is rather unassuming, but when it flowers, Wow.

Not sure..It is an Agave relative and native to Texas. Sometimes called a Texas tuberose.

I think the more common variety that grows wild is the Manfreda maculosa.
