Tired of propagating seeds, just scattered seeds around potted plants. Starting to see seedlings. Plants outside, protection from birds, high temps in 60's, low in low 40's. Afternoon sun. Seedlings are small and developing slowly. Obvious that Chusquea take a long time to germinate. Mother nature 1...

History - Chusquea lliama flowered for the 2nd time in July timeframe. Tried to germinate seeds thru September and gave up and dumped all seeds in an area around dying clump. Watered area once a week, no other attempt to produce germination. Found 3 seedlings today. RGds

My glauca partially flowers every year. One or two culms flower, the rest are normal. It has never produced seeds.

Congtats on the new seedling. What temp and sun/shade are you exposing the seeds? Also what depth are you planting the seeds? Rgds
