Re: Bamboo seeds
Orders to the USA via the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA-APHIS PPQ Field Operations) are NOT illegal. Mr. Thammarat of Boonthammee Bamboo Garden, Chiang Mai, Thailand has sent living bamboo plants including seeds to the USDA successfully in the past, and he is capable to do this in fu...

Re: Bamboo seeds Catalog
How many days are you waiting for response? As far as I know, Khun Thammarat is out of office for a one week bamboo irrigation project in a remote mountain area, maybe without Internet access. Please, be patient.

Re: Bamboo seeds Catalog
The Bamboo Seeds Catalog, http://thai-bamboo-seeds.blogspot.com , is actually Khun [Mr.] Sam's website (blog), who recently entered in cooperation with Khun Thammarat of Boonthammee Bamboo Garden, a separate bamboo nursery in the same province, Chiang Mai, of northern Thailand. I myself helped in th...

Re: Looking for any kind of temperate bamboo seeds
"Seeds are viable? Hard to believe..." Seeds of all 4 Phyllostachys species mentioned in this website are viable and germinated at a sufficiently good rate, and I don't need to believe this as I have the proof. "What's with that Spectabilis seeds ...? Did Spectabilis start flowering?&...

Do you offer seeds of other herbaceous bamboos in exchange? 2 August 2015: Two seeds were collected from a one year old seedling a few days ago and are now being tested on germination. Possibly, further seeds will be col...

... In the case of seeds, if the seeds are over 4 months old, you can expect low to no success ... Bamboo seed germination tests of many different species from temperate and tropical climatic zones clearly show that seed viability largely depends on species. There are species like in genus Borinda/...

Schizostachyum virgatum, synonym Cephalostachyum virgatum, Thai name ไผ่เฮียะ (phai hia), is flowering in Thailand in 2014. Seeds have been collected abundantly, and a few seedlings found on the ground of flowering plants, I was told. I received a few fresh seeds. However, they did not germinate. I ...
