That species has never done good for me. It is considered one of the cold hardier ones, but it shoots later than others and that is a problem if there is any winter damage. I remember having something like that happenThe cut stumps will ooze & support some interesting fungal? growth on those. Phy viridis in particular seems to do this.

Yes, I know what you mean. You would think that if someone is selling a plant, they would have a photo they could use themselves, with digital cameras, it is so easy, it really is inexcusable.
