As in title I have managed to propagate some seeds in the spring and have some extra if anyone fancies a trade. I will part with some for a small donation towards next year's efforts too!
Thanks!
Ben

Re: Chinese Cephalostachyum Pergracile seeds the real deal?
So, having researches further I found this blog http://bambooseeds.blogspot.co.uk. This blogger seems to order in seeds from various sources in East Asia and 'puts to them to the test'. Having seen he had germinated C.Pergracile more than once and correlating his images against the seeds I own I sum...

Re: Reputable seed sources.
I found one for anyone in the UK who may be looking and find this. An eBay seller by the handle botanical_rarities_shop sold me 3 varieties of seed. B.Tulda are going insane and yielding 80% in a week germination. I got D.Barbatus which this morning I could see the first tap roots appearing. And P.N...

Chinese Cephalostachyum Pergracile seeds the real deal?
I ordered some in and they arrived last week and half are in a propagator waiting to germinate. My issue is that having ordered a number of other types since I noticed that the seeds looked exactly the same as the Phyllostachys Pubescens seeds i ordered from a German seller. Is this right? Has anyon...

Re: Young P. Edulis worries
Thank you so much for your responses, I believe I had over watered it to begin with which made matters a bit worse but letting it air out in a warm but shaded area helped dry the little guy out a bit. I have begun Misting the few leaves it has left, a couple more dropped before this point, however, ...

Young P. Edulis worries
Was looking for this boo after my attempt from seed failed me, I risked a plant from Italy which was in hindsight suspiciously cheap from such a way. I'm sure it's the real deal. My issue is the plant was clearly too young to be shipped several days via a bog standard mail service and has turned up ...

Re: Why is spectabilis so hard to get or am I missing someth
Now, I'm not an expert more of admirer of bamboo. But I have seen Phyllostachys Spectabalis at my local B&Q of all places. Large specimens too.
Yellow and Green striped canes I remember, wasn't a bamboo I was over fond of like.

Reputable seed sources.
I know bamboo is difficult to grow from seed, yet I will not feel rewarded until I manage it. It's easy to buy a boo, I have numerous I bought. Now I want to do it from the start. Can anyone who has had success share seed sources, what suppliers yielded the most boos? I'm in the UK but don't mind sh...

Wanted P. Edulis, F.Fungosa. UK.
I have nothing to trade I admit as all my Boos are too young for me to want to risk harvesting at the moment. I am however willing to offer financial compensation. My efforts at growing bamboo from the dreaded eBay seeds have been so far fruitless, so here I am searching for these specimens as cutti...
