Auricle	The small lobes where the blade and culm sheath are joined.
Blade	Especially a leaf of grass or the broad portion of a leaf as distinct from the petiole.
Bract	A modified leaf or leaflike part just below and protecting an inflorescence
Culm	The main stem of the bamboo.
Culm Sheath	The sheath of the culm leaf, borne singly at each node of the culm proper, below the level at which the sheaths of foliage leaves take their place
Internode	The section of the culm between nodes.
Ligule	A strap-shaped structure, a membranous or hairy appendage on the adaxial surface of a leaf, especially in grasses, at the junction between sheath and blade.
Node	The point on the culm where leaf attachments are located.
Oral Setae	The bristles attached to the auricle.
Pruinose	Having a whitish powder or bloom on the surface.
Rhizome	A horizontal underground stem with roots.
Sulcus	A groove or channel on the internodes.
