Hi,
What type of bamboo is required for making Incense Stick?
In which parts of India it grows???

Not sure if this helps, but incense bamboo is the nick name of Phyllostachys Atrovaginata, which used to be called P congesta.

I'm not sure if it will smell any different than any other bamboo when burnt. Incense bamboo, as far as I know, only have culm coating that smells like incense.

Personally, I'm not sure it matters what species of bamboo is used for the stick. A stick is a stick.

I wanted to know what type meant that there might be bamboos which are too wet or too dry.
which might be difficult to process.

What sort of equipment did you have in mind for splitting the culms into sticks? Would it be easier to adapt the equipment to what you have available?
