Lately, I've noticed someone or something picked my bamboo to lay eggs on it. Luckily, leaves are not thick and in the morning, patch of eggs can be seen as dark spot where they are sticked on the bottom side of the leaf.
When I see the eggs, I make sure I remove every single one of them. Bye, bye vermin!

It would be interesting to know just what it is that is laying the eggs. Have you considered letting them hatch in a jar just to see what they are?

If I find them again, I will imprison them.
I doubt they would hatch, but you never know. I've noticed some kind of stink bug lurking around. It might be her work.

I've been seeing what appear to be some sort of insect eggs amongst the bamboo for years, but I am pretty sure they are Preying Mantis eggs since I have never seen any plant damage associated with them and there are all these Preying Manti running around.

Dan -- mantis egg cases are pretty distinctive:
If you can catch a female mantis late in the season (like mid-October), put her in a jar and start feeding her crickets. She'll start laying eggs, and may do it several times before she eventually dies. Then keep the egg cases in the fridge all winter and bring them out when it warms up in the Spring.
This year I didn't find any egg cases and haven't seen a single mantis. They're probably out there, but when I actually hatch them and distribute them around my yard it seems that I find them without even trying.

No new eggs yet.
Speaking of praying mantis, I found one this year. Usually we don't have them around, at least I haven't seen them yet. I doubt eggs were her work, but I'd definitely like to see it lay as much eggs as possible.

Alan, yes those are like the egg cases I've seen attached to the bamboo.
