Location: We are less than one hour south of downtown Houston. We are located in Wild Peach, Texas located half way between Brazoria and West Columbia. Exit hwy 36 onto County Road 354. Take County Road 353 west . Go approximately 2.4 miles. We are on the left.
This Saturday, July 24 from 9 to noon is the monthly Mercer Bamboo Group meeting. The event is free and the public is invited. Last I heard we will be digging out a larger Tropical Black and dividing it. The garden needs several divisions for other areas in the park.

Hi Outlaw,

I tried to call you when I was going through your area a week and a half ago. I visited Mantis' farm. I also drove by all the wind generators and took some pics. Couldn't get a hold of you on cell. I need to visit again to see your bamboo. Because of all the rain and fertilizer, my bamboo is doing great. Still haven't cut out all the dead culms of all the bamboo at the farm. I did thin out the Parker and boy is it rewarding me with culms. The Lako in the front yard looks like a giant bush with branches all the way to the ground.

It would be good to see the bamboo at Mercer. If I get time, we will head up that way this weekend.

If we can get a good group, it would be good to go to lunch together and visit. It would be good to see everyone.

I was at Mercer all day yesterday. Meeting, then lunch, more Mercer then off for more visiting at the Mexican joint we frequent. We shut the place down around 11:30 and had lots of time to visit. Sorry I missed the call. I will call tonight. You can see what we did here, follow the link to Mercer Bamboo Group Pictures:

Many of the regular crowd and one new person, Janette Yaw. I think she will be joining us.
