I took this photo at the San Diego Zoo last October. Can anybody help me identifying this bamboo?

I visited that Zoo back in 2008 and remember that bamboo. I will dig through my pics to see if I also took a picture of the tag.

I believe this is the same bamboo... either D. Brandisii or D. Asper.

Yes,

that is the same plant. I can tell it by the grafitti ...

The blue color on some of the culm is striking! So, what do the experts say: D. Brandisii or D. Asper??? I really have to know.

Unfortunately, I think the blue was actually paint and not the color of the culm.
