I am trying to identify a bamboo for a friend, and I could use a little help. It is a yellow type, runner. Here are a few pics of it. Thanks for any help.

I had a few thoughts, until I saw the shoots, so now I am clueless...

I dont think it is Bissetii, because of the thin sheath blades. If you look at the bottom of LewisBamboos page, there are two pictures of Bissetii shoots.

Looks like nuda.

To be honest, The older culms look like my atrovaginata and the leaf patterns remind me of it. The shoot also has simlar coloration, but I dont remember if atrovaginata has the thin blades. I dont think it does.

so, Nuda

Robert Young seems a likely suspect.

yep, you're right. it looks more like nuda than bissetii.
it's definately not atrovaginata.

Thanks for the help. It is kind of hard after looking at the shoots. Maybe they are too young to show a little better exactly what it is.

Last photo with the blue starts to suggest aurea, are the nodes flared out just below the sheath scar as it appears?
