Shame your not a little nearer :D
Bamboo...Please note... This plant is seriously addictive and you may lose interest in other, less rewarding plants!

Hey Fred,

I have some really small dulcis in 2's and 5's to trade. I'm sure you remember - I'm in the Sacramento area. What do you have to trade?

Have a local wholesale grower (Santa Cruz) who wants as many as I can find. How many/by size do you have? He and I have a good variety of plants. He wld most likely pickup and deliver if you have volume. Hope you are out of the range of the Auburn fire. Thanks for the response. Rgds Fred

As many as you can find? Well, it would take some taking, but I have a 6'X6' grove I want to get rid of. Culms 3/4 -1" X 10 -12' high.
To locals: If there is something in the Trade column of my plant list you want a start for, I root-prune every so often to control the bamboo in my limited space. You are welcome to any starts for free, no trading. Let me know and come get it if it's available. Pick up only.

If you end up needing to get more than you can source locally, I would like to dig back my grove of it, currently these would be shippable sizes due to dieback last winter. Unless I learn that you or someone else needs them mine will stay put in-ground but I could easily dig/pot/grow out some if needed.

Thanks Fred. I'm about 10 miles away from the Auburn fire. Pretty bad one, lots of homes and businesses were lost. I'm at the base of the foothills west on I-80.

Got a call from your contact, looks like we might trade out some stock which works well, and including the dulcis (I'm keeping one for my collection though).

It looks like Tom Gunterman also replied on this string, he's a good guy and he is where I got my dulcis from. I'm sure Tom would be willing to talk to your guy.

Cheers!

Glad things are working out. Did some rafting from Chile Bar a few weeks ago and was worried about how dry it was down down to Folsom. Will have some small plants for you when things cool off. Have purchased some unusual plants from William. He has a lot of contacts and seems to grow plants with skill, and sells at good prices. He's worth keeping a relationship. Rgds Fred
