Weather predictions for winter of 2010/2011

Post by stevelau1911 »

Based on the accu-weather reports, it should be average temperatures with large swings, and lots of snow this winter for my area which is not bad. Since they should be lots of residual snowfall, I probably don't need to protect my zone 7 rated plants at all this winter since temperatures are probably not going to even get close to sub-zero. The lakes are well warmer than usual which usually means more lake effect snow and less likelihood of getting that cold since the lake water acts as a heat sink minimizing the extreme cold in the winter. Hopefully this forecast holds true.

It is even better for those in the south since there should'nt really be much of a winter.

Agreed. If we don't get below 32°F this winter I won't shed a tear. 8) 35°F+ sounds good to me.

I can't complain too much about last Winter, I managed to avoid shoveling the driveway. Lots of snow, but no subzero temperatures.

The legal issues that will arise when the undead walk the earth are legion, and addressing them all is well beyond what could reasonably be accomplished in this brief Essay. Indeed, a complete treatment of the tax issues alone would require several volumes.
