Snow

Post by Bamboo Outlaw »

It has been snowing heavily for quite a while now. It is unusual to see snow down here. We will see how cold it gets tonight and the damage it brings.

It has not stopped snowing all day. Nothing sticks as it is too warm, but it has been coming down hard.

It is definitely sticking here. I've got most of the bamboo protected. The only one I'm scared for is the D. giganteus in the big tub that I got from you. I just don't have any way to protect it. :(

Wow... your jungle is growing. It is supposed to get down to 32F here tonight. I am a little worried about the Schizostachyum Brachycladum I put in the ground this past year. It has several new shoots.

What are you using to shoot the videos? I have been using a Kodak Zi8 and it does a great job. Best true HD pocket camcorder for less than $150.

It's some Memorex pocket camera that I got last week for $49 from woot.com...

Nothing special, but an HD video camera for $49? C'mon! You can't expect gold.

Stopped snowing at 4:30. It is still only 34, but sky is clear. Fingers crossed for nothing below 27. :(

First snow of the year in Middle Tennessee! Very beautiful- it stuck to everything- the bamboo and cedar trees are/were absolutely gorgeous! It was also convenient as it has melted and the sun has come out.

A few pictures... most are blurry because I was freezing and couldn't hold the camera still. :laughing1:
