If you mean USDA Plant Hardiness zones, then it looks like 9b:

Although I don't know if it's an accurate comparison.

Here's one for Europe:

Average temps aren't enough. What is the average low temp in your area in January?

If your high temps are 70F in July, I think you may not get to 9b,.....but it is the low temp average in January.

Don't let these zones scare you, try what you may think will grow.

Average low temp in January 14 F

We do have a very hot and dry summers since the beginning of June until mid-September, with temperatures around 85-90 F.
In winter the temperature around 14 F at night and later when the sun came out, temp around 32/40 F

This diagram may help (temperature and precipitation through the months)

With an average low under 15F, I'd estimate a zone 7 or so.

There will be others who may differ.

My average low in Northern California is about 28 and I am zone 9b.

Good luck!

Sounds somewhat like Tennessee weather- perhaps a little cooler in the summer than we are, and we are colder in the winter. We are 6b/7a here in middle Tennessee, so I'm going with 7b for your area.

If your average lowest temperature of the year is 14 F., you're a zone 8a.
However, the USDA zone system is a little misleading for comparing Eastern U.S. , Western U.S. and Europe.
The USDA zone system is most popular and useful in the Eastern U.S., where the arctic blasts that come down from Canada are relatively important in determining what will grow here.
Much of Europe, especially Western Europe, has mild average-lowest-temperature-of-the-year, compared to it's average winter temperatures, as well as cool summers. (Opposite of the U.S. East Coast.)
But knowing this information, and the different needs of different types of plants, can help in comparing distant regions like this. For example, the cold-hardy palm Trachycarpus doesn't need a lot of summer heat, and the USDA zones are pretty useful in comparing regions. Cold-hardy palms Sabal minor and Needle palm want more heat and won't grow as well in a comparable European USDA zone.
Hope I explained that clearly enough!

I Live in Dallas, Texas

And my climactic zone depends upon what mood my wife is in on any given day.
Seriously, though, weather changes very fast here.
I think you should be looking at the extremes in a species mainly, heat/light and cold tolerance. Especially min temp, not avg min temp, for it is the black swan day that will determine viability.

Bambusoides will just be getting going in 5 years, but probably 5cm x 5-6m.

Vivax will be very fast to mature for you maybe 6-8cm x 6-7m.

Nigra will likely be 4-5cm x 5-6m.

Lots of variables- soil, fertilizer, water, aspect, mulch, winds, varmits, kids, etc.

Good luck and keep us posted.
