Thuja,

I can't even get in my garage without getting bruised up from all those containers of bamboos,maples, conifers. Well over 100. Another 200 in the greenhouse and over 400+ cultivars in the landscape. Ouch...It'll take me a day just to get everything out of the garage in a few weeks.
Temps in the 50's by the end of the week. :D Your "Acontifolium" is starting to begin bud break..

Forsythia is beginning to bloom here and the amur honeysuckle is leafing out. The bradford pears are maybe 5 days away from blooming in some areas around town and the maples will be blooming here very shortly as well.
No sign of any bamboo shoots though.

So I've been told this is officially spring now. But I would be none the wiser. I see snow blowing around in a blizzard-like fashion. But the pizzaman delivered the goods, so it did feel like spring in that aspect.
