I rescued this from a local government property where it was being removed any guesses(1st pic)? The second pic is another rescue from a different location?

I'll stab in the dark till someone more knowledgeable comes along....moso? I know the sulcus says Phyllostachys, and the hairs should mean something more to others...I'd have a better chance with a mature grove shot. Happen to have a picture of where you got them from?

Unfortunately both have been removed. There were only rhizomes left of the 2nd pic and just a few shoots of the 1st before before they removed the rest of the years shoots. I do have another pot of the 1st pic that isn't shooting but a cane survived.

Post subject:  Re: Rescued Specimens that normal spider webbing or spider mite webbing...if the latter I'd clean that up and hit them hard asap. Especially if you have other plants/boos around.

On the ID, unfortunately I don't see anything to definitively separate it from your average unidentified green Phyllostachys. I could list a lot of species it most likely isn't based on culm characteristics, but you'll have to wait for someone with more experience to pick up on something I can't to point you in a better direction. Are the culms smooth or "rough" if you run your fingers up/down them?

Not enough to go on there, but start with the usual suspects, in CA what I see most often is Phy aurea, next is Phy vivax. It will be a couple years before those have shoots that can help with an ID I'd guess.
