This was sold to me a few years ago by a local nursery as Yellow Groove bamboo. Now that i have seen more bamboo and am becoming more educated i'm beginning to question whether or not this plant is in fact yellow groove! I'm far from an expert but i have never seen any of the typical "yellow grooves" on any of the culms. Also the shoots seem to be plain green. If anyone can help me out with this it would be much appreciated!!

Thanks

Greetings, I can't quite tell from your photos, juvenile shoots can betray ID, that being said I think it is not Yellow Groove but I'm not sure it is not. The nodes on the culms seem a bit large and the shoots look 'off'. You should see a Yellow Groove on the culm that largest shoot may produce once it gets a bit larger and the culm sheaths fall away.
