Hey guys,
I have a friend who has some bamboo growing behind their house and we're trying to identify it (I might plant some at my house). We live in Southeast Missouri. We cut some of the culms down and the largest had a height of 36 feet with a base diameter of 2.75 inches. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Bamboo Identification
Any idea how shoots looked like this spring? Or even better, photo of it?

Re: Bamboo Identification
Thanks for the help guys!
After a lot more research and closer inspection of the grove I've also decided that it is most likely Nigra Henon. Thanks again, I truly appreciate the help!
