Hello, im hoping someone can help me out here.
I was on a trip in Southern Africa and came across this bamboo.
Its a clumping species, culms were about 70mm in diameter (2.7 inches) with about 5mm thick walls (0.19inches )
Mature culms averaged around 10 metres in length (32 ft)
There had been a fire about a 3 days before so not many leaves for identifying but hopefully the culm sheaths can help out.
The area has long hot dry seasons and extremely wet season in the monsoons.
Thanks in advance.
